Ernesto Quezada Segura, age 67, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at home with his family in Ashland City, Tennessee after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Nvo. Casas Grandes, Chihuahua Mexico, he longed for the day that his family would be able to live in the United States. He worked hard to make that happen and was overjoyed when the last of his children gained their permanent residency. He settled in Ashland City and made it his home. He spent his time helping Hispanics in any way he could. That’s how he gained the nickname “Abogado del pueblo” which means “Lawyer of the people”.

He is preceded in death by his father, Salvador Quezada; mother, Luz Segura; brother, Eulogio Quezada; and sister, Magdelena Quezada.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Quezada Gonzalez; children: Erika Quezada, Ernesto Quezada, Nestor Quezada, Priscila Sorbera, and Jonathan Quezada; grandchildren: Sweyzen Salinas, Karina Aponte, Antonio Salinas, Esteban Salinas, Emma Salinas, Bethany Sorbera, Leo Sarabia, Naomi Sorbera, Jubilee Sorbera, Zeno Quezada, Nova Quezada, Carynne Sarabia, (and Karina’s baby); and siblings.

A memorial service to celebrate Ernesto’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Gateway Church in Ashland City, Tennessee.

A reception with cookies and coffee will follow the service. Flowers can be sent directly to the church (to be delivered between 12:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022). Cards and donations will be accepted at the service.
