CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Northwest High Athletics announced the resignation of boys basketball coach Aaron Wallus on Wednesday.
According to Athletic Director Jason Greene, Wallus steps away from the program to pursue an opportunity with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to have been the head basketball coach at Northwest High School,” Wallus said. “It has been a great experience, and I hope the program continues to grow in the right direction under its future leadership. I am fully invested in continuing to support the Viking athletic community in the quest toward excellence.”
Wallus took over Northwest boys basketball during the 2018-19 season. During that four-year period, the school failed to finish at .500 or better.
“We are grateful for the work Coach Wallus has done with our men’s basketball program and for the impact he has made on our students and community,” Greene said.
Northwest will conduct a search for their new head coach as the off-season progresses.
