CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested a Crofton man Monday after an investigation revealed he had inappropriate contact with an undisclosed family member over several years beginning in 1993.
According to CCSO, Sammy D. Johnson, 57, of Crofton, Ky., was taken into custody and charged with the following:
• Incest /forcible compulsion/incapable of consent or under 18 years (3 counts)
• Sodomy 1st degree (1 count)
• Sodomy 1st degree-victim under 12 years (3 counts)
• Sexual abuse 1st degree, victim under 12 years (2 counts)
• Sexual abuse 1st degree victim under 12 years (2 counts)
• Rape 1st degree-domestic violence (6 counts)
Specific details regarding the investigation are being withheld at this time for the protection of the victim’s identity and the integrity of the investigation.
Johnson is being held at the Christian County Jail on $1,000,500 cash-only bond.
