CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two teenagers from Clarksville were killed in the crash Thursday afternoon on Old Highway 48 in Montgomery County.
One was the driver, a 16-year-old driving a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and the other was a 14-year-old passenger, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report released today.
The 34-year-old driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was injured.
The wreck occurred around 4 p.m. on Old Highway 48 between Martha’s Chapel Road and Seven Mile Ferry Road, according to information from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The Tacoma was going east on Old Highway 48 and went off the roadway to the right before correcting into the roadway, striking the westbound Silverado in an angle fashion, the preliminary THP report said.
The Tacoma ended up in the front yard of 441 Old Highway 48. The Silverado came to a stop in a ditch.
There were no other passengers in the Tacoma, and the names of the juveniles have not been released.
Correction: The girl who was killed in the wreck was 14 and from Clarksville, according to her family. The information provided by THP has been updated.
