CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A house in north Clarksville was heavily damaged in a fire Friday evening, with a family of five displaced.

Just before 5 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was called to the home on Chancery Lane, and they arrived in seven minutes to see flames coming from the second story, Capt. Jim Eley told Clarksville Now.

The fire started in an upstairs bedroom, and the entire second floor had fire damage. The first floor had smoke and water damage.

No one was injured, but the family was displaced. They include two adults and three children. The American Red Cross has provided assistance.

The family had two dogs and three cats, and none of them have been recovered. Firefighters didn’t see any sign of them in the home, Eley said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Chancery Lane is between Tiny Town Road and the state line, near Pembroke Road.
