Update, Jan. 10: The Roxy Regional Theatre’s upcoming production of The Agitators has been postponed.

“Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with the principal cast and fears of the impact of the latest COVID-19 surge in our community and around the nation, our board of directors has made the difficult decision to postpone this production until the summer,” said a Roxy news release. “We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused by this change in plans, and we appreciate your understanding, patience and support as we continue to navigate these challenging times.”

Ticket holders have been contacted and issued refunds, but any questions or concerns can be directed to the box office at roxy@roxyregionaltheatre.org or (931) 645-7699.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN – They agitated the nation, they agitated each other and, in doing so, they helped shape the Constitution and the course of American history. Great allies and, at times, great adversaries, Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass relentlessly and passionately fought for the rights of others, developing a friendship that lasted nearly half a century.

Starring APSU Department of Theatre and Dance faculty member Sara Anderson and department chair Marcus Hayes, the story of this enduring but tempestuous friendship comes to life upon the stage of the Roxy Regional Theatre in The Agitators, opening Monday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.
