Update, 10:20 a.m. Monday: The wreck that killed a motorcycle rider was caused when a car crossed in the motorcycle’s path, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report obtained by Clarksville Now.

A Nissan Sentra was going east on Tiny Town Road and tried to make a left hand turn onto Twelve Oaks Boulevard. There is no traffic signal at that intersection.

The Nissan was struck by the motorcycle, a Kawasaki Ninja, which was going west on Tiny Town. The 25-year-old Clarksville rider was thrown and landed on the Nissan. The rider was wearing a helmet but was killed in the crash, according to the report.

The Nissan came to a final rest against a utility pole on Twelve Oaks. It grazed a third vehicle, but that vehicle’s occupants weren’t injured.

The 20-year-old Clarksville driver of the Nissan was injured. Charges may be pending; the crash is still under investigation, the report said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – One person was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle Sunday night on Tiny Town Road.

At 10:10 p.m., Clarksville Police were responding to the crash, involving a motorcycle and an automobile, on Tiny Town at Twelve Oaks Boulevard.

No further information has been released. Clarksville Now has reached out to Tennessee Highway Patrol, which is investigating the crash.
