CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – In the wake of the devastation from tornadoes in Kentucky, many people across Clarksville are looking for ways to help.
Beaver 100.3 FM, Clarksville Now and the rest of 5 Star Media Group is partnering with several area businesses and YAIPak Outreach to collect supplies that will be taken directly to those in need.
Here is the list of supplies we are looking for:
- Sturdy totes with lids (for community storage)
- Large tarps
- Heavy duty zip ties
- Batteries all sizes
- 40V Max Kobalt battery AH/charging pad
- Shovels
- Heavy-duty rakes
- Wrecking bar
- Wheelbarrows
- Crowbars
- Clorox wipes
- Hammers
- Nails
- Screws
- Phone chargers
- Power packs
- Pet food
- Baby supplies
- New clothes
- Blankets
- Freshly laundered coats
- Grey duct tape
- Large Sharpie markers (black)
- Heater buddies
- Boys clothing, all sizes (new only)
- New underwear, all sizes
Note that only new clothing is accepted, and all donated materials should be in good condition. Relief sites don’t have the capacity to sort through or dispose of used materials in poor condition.

- Thursday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Patriot Chevrolet in Hopkinsville, 4401 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY
- Friday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Toyota of Hopkinsville, 4395 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY
- Monday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Altra Federal Credit Union, 2625 Wilma Rudolph Blvd, Clarksville, TN
- Tuesday, Dec. 21, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Cadiz Antique Mall, 34 Main St, Cadiz, KY, and 3-6 p.m., HR Agri-Power, 1700 Nashville St, Russellville, KY
You can also purchase a gift card to Walmart, Food Giant or Kroger. If you can’t make it out to one of our supply drives, you can drop those off at our main studios during business hours at 1640 Old Russellville Pike, Clarksville, TN.
We are teaming up with YaiPak Outreach to make sure the supplies and gift cards get in the hands of the people who need them. YAIPak also has an Amazon wish list that can be found here.
Storm cleanup volunteers
If you want to put some muscle into helping with cleanup efforts, those are being organized daily in Hopkins County, Kentucky.
Volunteers will be sent out every morning at 8 a.m. Meet in the parking lot at 5715 Charleston Road (Kentucky Highway 109), just south of the Interstate 69 exit for Dawson Springs.
