The East squad tied the series at seven apiece with a convincing victory, 31-3.
East came to play on defense, notching two sacks and a tackle for loss early in the game. This pocket penetration continued all game, keeping West’s quarterbacks on the back foot. East’s defense even scored off a huge pick six.
Meanwhile, the East offense’s physical running style was complemented by explosive plays through the air. Even in the kicking game, East’s Upton Bellenfant (Stewarts Creek) never gave West the chance to return a kickoff, leaving them without an answer.
Scoring summary:
- Q1, 3:56: East’s DeAndre Kelly 1-yd rush TD (Bellenfant PAT)
- Q2, 0:00: West’s Ben Pledger 48-yd FG
- Q3, 9:34: East’s Amarion Workings 58-yd interception return for TD (Bellenfont PAT)

Offensive and defensive MVPs were named for each team. For the West, these were Ben Pledger (offense, University School of Jackson) and Charles Ingram (defense, Ensworth). For the East, their honors went to DeAndre Kelly (offense, South Pitt) and Levi Evans (defense, Dobyns Bennett).

The Clarksville area boasted one participant in this year’s contest: Rossview linebacker Seneca Bradley. He represented the city well, recording six tackles (three solo) for West. Bradley, who plays basketball for the Hawks as well, also had a breakout season at tight end. He has received an offer from University of the Cumberlands and is currently in talks with several other schools.
“Seneca has been a great player for us here at Rossview,” head coach Todd Hood said. “His leadership and character are second to none. I look forward to watching him play at the next level.
“Congratulations to him on a great high school career and capping it off with a great All-Star game performance.”
