For close to 30 years the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville has spread the holiday spirit with toys for Children at Christmas.
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville shared the spirit and happiness of Christmas with children from Lafayette Head Start at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency on Tuesday.
Club members felt a little bit like Santa Claus delivering bags of toys for 146 children ages 3 to 5 years old.

The Kiwanis club has donated toys to children every year for more than 35 years, and club members along with volunteers spent the day before wrapping the presents.
Head Start Program Director Paris Carnell said the children will receive these gifts through the agency’s family advocates.
“I know they really appreciate and are thankful for getting these gifts, and we are very grateful,” Carnell said.
