CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A new local charity will host “Our HERO Weekend”, a two-day fundraising event March 28 and 29 to benefit the Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS).
Our HERO Weekend kicks off March 28 with the Our HERO Golf Tournament, followed by a BBQ luncheon at Eastland Green Golf Course.
The following day will bring the Super HERO Family Fun Day, a family friendly community event held at Gratton View Estate. 100% of the proceeds from both events will benefit CADS.
The Our HERO Initiative was founded by a mom who wanted to celebrate all the special needs children in her hometown in lieu of a “traditional” first birthday party for her son, Reid Christopher, who was born with Down Syndrome.
The organization intends to benefit a different recipient each year. This year’s recipients are the Clarksville Association of Down Syndrome.
