CLARKSVILLE, TN – The New Providence Middle School girls soccer team has won the championship for the 2021 school year.
Undefeated all season, the New Providence Mustangs won their final game against the Richview Cowboys Nov. 3 in a match that went into overtime. According to a news release, this is the first time in the team’s history they have remained undefeated all season, and the first time the championship game has gone into overtime.
The team was coached by Jonathan Widney, with coaches Tommie Chapman and Solomon Duanah assisting.
