CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Severe thunderstorms could be headed our way Friday afternoon, with the possibility of a tornado.
The National Weather Service issued an alert about the upcoming storm Thursday morning.
“Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Friday afternoon until mid-evening, especially in areas west and northwest of Nashville,” the NWS said. “The main threat will be damaging straight-line winds, but hail, localized flooding and an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.”
The chance of rain in Clarksville Friday and Friday night is 90 percent, with a slight chance of showers after midnight.
