CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Highway 48/13 McClure Bridge over the Cumberland River was closed Tuesday night after a multi-vehicle wreck.

At about 7:53 p.m., three vehicles crashed on the bridge, including an semi carrying a load of sheetrock that overturned, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

As of 9 p.m., all lanes were shut down. CPD asked that the public to avoid the area and find alternate routes until the roadway can be cleared.

There are no reported injuries.

“It is expected that the roadway will be closed for the next couple of hours until the debris can be cleared and vehicles moved,” Beaubien said.
