CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery Central High School will celebrate the 50th anniversary of football at the school this Friday during an Alumni Night home game against Hillwood High.

The first football team was established in 1971, according to Angie Sykes, president of the Indians Football Booster Club.

Central football alumni will gather before the game at 5 p.m. for a social hour, and they be recognized during halftime, to include alumni from that first 1971 team, Sykes said.

The 2021 team will wear special-ordered replica jerseys during the game, and the game ball will be flown in by an Austin Peay State University helicopter.

The game against Hillwood starts at 7 p.m.
