CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pair of local martial artists returned home from nationwide tournaments this summer with gold medals and spots on the USA Judo roster.

Alexandra Erb and Timothy Slayman, representing Reagan Martial Arts, competed in North Carolina and Florida this summer for a pair of national-level tournaments hosted by USA Judo.

Both athletes took home gold medals in their divisions and were ranked as top athletes for the country’s judo national roster, qualifying them for their respective world teams. Alabama Slayman and Tabitha Slayman also earned national medals at the events.

The team’s next competition will take place this November at the USA Judo President’s Cup National Championships, another tournament held in Irving, Texas.

Reagan Martial Arts is a homegrown judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu club owned and operated by former Clarksville High, Vanderbilt and XFL offensive lineman Bruno Reagan and his father, Mack. They’re the state’s most decorated judo athlete and coach, respectively.
