Ara Elizabeth (Hodges) Moore, age 80 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.
She entered this life on January 9, 1941 in Clarksville to the late Douglas and Mary Alice Hodges. She worked for Acme Boot for several years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ara was an avid reader and loved animals and music. She was kind hearted and compassionate. Ara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Windell Moore; brothers, Bracky, Doug and Tommy Hodges, and sisters, Margie (Hodges) Ham and Juanita (Hodges) Jackson.
Survivors include her daughters, Lori (Moore) Powell and Angela Moore; grandchildren, Nikki Powell and Ryan Powell; sisters, Alice (Hodges) Moul and Brenda (Hodges) Biter and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 14 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
