James Patrick Markham, age 71 of Clarksville, passed away July 8, 2021 at his residence.
Pat was born August 12, 1949, in Cedar Hill, Tenn. to the late Joel Stratton Markham and Ellen Elizabeth Burke Markham. Markham was the sole proprietor of J.P. Markham Construction Company of Clarksville. He was a 1967 graduate of Clarksville High School and had attended APSU. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
James was known to all as a gentle, kind, soft-spoken man with high integrity and a selfless nature. He will be lovingly missed by his family and lovingly remembered by his grandsons, Braxton and Baylor, whom he happily gave every ounce of his time and energy for all of their young lives.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Craig Markham of Clarksville; daughter, Rebecca Croley (Michael) Baggett of Clarksville; sisters, Jeanne Markham, Ellen Markham and Margaret Arms of Clarksville; grandsons, Braxton Baggett and Baylor Baggett and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
