CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s not often you get to celebrate a beaver’s birthday, but this month we’re doing exactly that: Beaver 100.3 FM is turning 27.

Beaver started back in July 1994 when country music started tearing up the charts. Hitmakers like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn were reviving the country scene, proving there was a big audience for a new generation of artists.

In response, WVVR 100.3 FM switched from a standard Top 40 pop station to all country, all the time, focused on the rising country hits.

Twenty-seven years later, Beaver is still on that mission, covering the Clarksville, Tennessee, and Hopkinsville, Kentucky, airwaves with a 100,000-watt signal that reaches as far as Evansville, Indiana, and Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

And Beaver still features today’s top new country artists, with the likes of Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett.

Each weekday starts with the Fletch & Mandi Beavery Country Morning Show from 5 to 9 a.m., waking you up from their studio in our Clarksville office.
