Billy J. Baggett, age 48 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Cloria Oaks Rehab Center in Palmyra.
He was born June 26, 1973 in Clarksville, the son of Shelby Jean Wilmer Baggett of Clarksville and the late Billy Ray Baggett. Billy had worked over the years in plumbing, lawn care and as a tow truck driver.
Billy had a long battle, but God decided it was time to go home. He was a loving and caring person who talked about his daughters all the time. He loved them dearly. He spent many years looking after his mother, and he is the third son she has had to lay to rest.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Shelby Baggett of Clarksville and daughters, Amber Baggett of Clarksville and Sarah Baggett of Clarksville. He is also survived by his brothers, Glenn Davis (Sheila) of Hartford, Ala. and Steven Keen (Tonya) of St. Amant, La. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Davis and Michael Keen.
A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at Gateway Funeral Home. Visitation will be for the hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial of his cremated remains will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
