CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Clarksville farmer is set to star in the upcoming season of CBS’s “Big Brother” reality TV show.

Brandon “Frenchie” French, 34, is originally from Camden, Tennessee, but currently lives in Clarksville where he farms with his family. He’s prior Air Force and is one of 16 cast members to star in the show’s 23rd season.

“Big Brother” is a reality TV show that follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 high-definition cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move. House guests face challenges and competitions, and new to this season, the guests will operate in groups of four with team captains who have access to the camera footage.

Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, and the last remaining house guest receives a grand prize of $500,000.

According to his profile on the Big Brother Network website, French believes his lifestyle as a farmer will jive well with upcoming challenges on the show.

“Building relationships with everyone not just your alliance,” French said of his show strategy. “Being a farmer, no two days are the same. You never know what to expect. I always have to evolve and change game plans on a daily basis and I have got really good at it. Set strategies are over-rated and crumble so my lifestyle fits perfectly with the Big Brother house,” French said on the website.

If he had to describe himself in three words, French said supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, compassionate and exuberant, according to the website.

His favorite activities include “Yes” days with his kids, fishing, playing with the baby animals on his farm and grilling out.

And his favorite house guest duo that he would bring back from previous “Big Brother” seasons? “Definitely Britney Haynes and Rachel’s hair extensions!” French wrote.

His life’s motto is: “You will always go through rocky times, but together we can crush those rocks into fine sand and create our own paradise!”

When asked what he would take into the “Big Brother” house with him, French listed three important items: “A picture of my son who passed away because it motivates me like no other. A fishing pole because it would be fun catching other Houseguests from the HOH balcony lol. A voice recorder because everyone in that house lies and then I’d have proof of what was said,” French wrote.

Three fun facts about French include when he was 13, he won the NFL National Punt, Pass and Kick competition; he has a 2-time grand national champion show bull that lives better than most humans; and he’s a proud member of the NAACP.

“Big Brother” premieres on July 7 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
