Anita Brown Taylor, age 55 of Dover, TN went home to be with her Lord June 18, 2021 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

She was born April 10, 1966, the beloved daughter of Carl Andrew and Brenda Barr Brown. She was married to her high school sweetheart, William Taylor, on May 20, 1989 and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, aunt and friend.

Taylor was a life-long Alabama football fan. She had a kind, loving heart and enjoyed helping and serving others however she could. She attended the University of Alabama and later transferred to Austin Peay State University, where she graduated as an English major.

Anita enjoyed teaching her high school English students in Montgomery and Stewart Counties, and they all loved her. She had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of Taylors Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She volunteered with the Back to School Bash and Relay for Life for several years.

She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Andrew Brown and is survived by her loving, devoted husband, William Taylor; son, David Taylor, Birmingham, Ala. and Calbern Brown, who she was also a mother to; mother, Brenda Barr Brown of Dover and brothers, C.J. Brown of Indian Mound and Russell Brown of Virginia.

Visitation will be Monday, June 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume June 22 at 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11a.m. at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tenn. with Shani Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Taylors Chapel Cemetery, Dover, Tenn. with Bro. Joel Nulty officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Taylor, Chase Link, John Elliott, Pat Donahue, C. J. Brown, Corey Taylor and Jason Taylor
