Bettie Ruth (Burnett) Bolden, age 79 of Clarksville, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born June 25, 1942 in Gadsden, Ala. and spent over six years in the United States Army as a unit supply specialist. She was employed as a school bus aide with Taylor Motor Company at Ft. Campbell, Ky. She was also employed as head cafeteria monitor at Kenwood Middle School in Clarksville. She is a long serving member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church.
Bolden is preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Bolden Sr.; mother, Mary Elizabeth (Reese) Burnett and father, Samuel Burnett. Bettie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Larry J. Bolden Jr. of Lake Forest, Calif. and siblings, John Wesley Burnett, Angelette Burnett, Robbie Burnett, Andrea Burnett and Kimberly (Burnett) Mitchelle.
A memorial service with military honors will be conducted on Saturday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, located on 2411 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville, Tenn. Pastor Delbert Brown will officiate and interment will be held at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Ky. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing rules.
