CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with the Oak Grove Police Department around noon Tuesday in the pursuit of a shoplifting suspect.

Captain Chris Miller with the Sheriff’s office says the call came in that Oak Grove Police were in pursuit of a shoplifting suspect and advised the sheriff’s office they had lost the suspect in southwest Christian County.

Oak Grove Police had provided sheriff’s deputies with a description of the male suspect and his vehicle. Sheriff’s units located the vehicle traveling north on Lafayette Road just south of Herndon, KY.

The pursuit began again with the sheriff’s units following the suspect through Christian County, Trigg County and finally into Tennessee where they were joined by sheriff’s deputies from Stewart County.

The chase ended in a driveway off Highway 79, when the suspect, Danny Bruley of Hopkinsville, was stopped and taken into custody.

Bruley is facing multiple traffic and wanton endangerment charges both in Kentucky and Tennessee.
