WEATHER ALERT: Storms expected throughout day in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A storm was moving across Montgomery County Thursday morning, and it could bring heavy winds and some flooding.

Strong storms will be possible for most of today, according to the National Weather Service.

“The main concerns will be gusty winds of 40 to 60 mph and localized flooding due to heavy rainfall,” the NWS reported.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. North winds up to 5 mph shifting to the east after midnight.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds up to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday Night: Showers likely. Lows in the mid 60s. Chance of showers 70 percent.
