CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County will provide a progress update on the Multi-Purpose Event Center and present upcoming contact opportunities related to the project at a meeting on Friday, March 26, from 2-3 p.m. at Civic Hall.
The event will begin with an update on the event center’s progress and a chance to meet the MPEC team. The primary purpose of the event is to present bid opportunities to potential subcontractors. Dozens of bid opportunities are available, including masonry, flooring, signage, communications and more.
According to a post on the Montgomery County, TN Twitter, the full MPEC bid package will be released on March 30 with bids due on April 20.
MPEC progress
Work on the MPEC is underway following the groundbreaking in November 2021. Currently, crews are working to excavate the site.

In January at the annual Mayor’s Power Breakfast, which was live streamed this year, County Mayor Jim Durrett said he hopes that “by the end of the year 2021, that entire area will be covered in steel.”
