CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The line of severe storms coming toward Middle Tennessee should skirt south of Clarksville, but we’ll still get some rain and thunderstorms out of the event.

Whether the storms hit Clarksville depends on whether a warm front lifts north on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. If the front slows, the threat could stay limited to the southwest Tennessee counties.

National Weather Service forecast.

We should see showers and a few thunderstorms, not severe, Wednesday morning. In the early afternoon, we’ll have scattered showers and storms. The strongest chance of severe weather will be in the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday.

If the severe storms hit, damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail and flash flooding are all possible.
