Update, 5 p.m.: Richard Frost, whose mother and father lived in the home on Dotsonville Road, has started a GoFundMe for his parents. The couple was not home at the time of the fire, but their dog died as a result.
“We’re really not sure what insurance will or won’t cover. My mother-in-law’s car was lost in the fire too,” his wife Mandy Frost told Clarksville Now.
“Everything is gone,” Frost said. “We just thought anything that could help, and prayers.”
Dotsonville Road is now reopen after traffic was redirected away from the scene at Wooten Road.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A house fire broke out Thursday afternoon in the 1500 block of Dotsonville Road, and rescue crews turned traffic around at the intersection of Wooten Road.
The fire was reported at 1:34 p.m., according to 911 logs. Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency Director Ed Baggett said he is unsure at this point what started the fire. He added it came from inside the home.
“It’s a total loss, so it will be difficult to determine the origin just yet,” Baggett told Clarksville Now.
Baggett also said the home was occupied by two or three residents, and the family got out safely.
As of 2:30 p.m., rescue services had put out the majority of the fire, but were still attempting to locate potential hotspots. Baggett estimates fire and rescue crews will continue to be on site for another hour.
