CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Land Between the Lakes is coming back to life, with some facilities back open this week and more in the works.

“We know the public is excited to return to their favorite places at Land Between the Lakes,” said Tim Pohlman, acting area supervisor for the U.S. Forest Service at Land Between the Lakes. “We are looking forward to inviting everyone out to such a special place during a time when we all are ready to get outdoors for a new learning adventure or rediscovery of the past.”

Here’s the reopening schedule for LBL facilities, according to a news release.

Open March 1:

  • Energy Lake Campground
  • Hillman Ferry Campground

Open Wednesday-Sunday beginning March 3; open daily beginning April 1:

  • Homeplace 1850s Working Farm
  • North Welcome Station
  • South Welcome Station
  • Woodlands Nature Station

Open daily beginning April 1:

  • Moss Creek Day Use Area

Open year-round:

  • Basic and Dispersed Camping
  • Elk & Bison Prairie
  • Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory
  • Outdoor recreation activities
  • Piney Campground
  • Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle Area (if conditions allow)
  • Wranglers Campground and Day Use

Visitors to Land Between the Lakes are urged to recreate responsibly and follow the precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with local and state health and safety guidance, the release said.
