Update, 1:10 p.m.: Powell Road is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A single-family house fire completely shut down Powell Road on the east side of Clarksville Wednesday morning.
Clarksville Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Rios told Clarksville Now that reports of the fire came in at 10:29 a.m. Crews from Station 8, 9, 12 and 2 responded, and no injuries were reported at the scene.
However, four people living in the house are now displaced, according to Rios.
As of 11:57 a.m., the fire has been put out and investigators are on the scene trying to determine the cause.
“Fire investigators on the scene believe that the fire started from improperly discarded smoking materials. There was a bucket of cigarette butts stored next to the side of the door,” Rios said.
Powell Road is shut down until further notice.
