CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pedestrian was killed late Wednesday evening on Madison Street after being hit by a pickup truck.

The accident occurred near the intersection Denny Road around 9:30 p.m., and involved a 2008 white Dodge pickup truck.

The Clarksville Police Department has identified the pedestrian as 62-year-old Sheryl Farmer.

Debris on the road appeared to include a grocery cart, as seen in video footage from Clarksville Now news partner Dash 10 Media.

Denny Road is across Madison Street from The Belle Hollow and Miss Lucille’s Marketplace.

No charges are expected to be brought against the driver of the pickup truck, according to a news release from CPD. The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with police, according to Dash 10 Media.
