James Earl Trotter, age 81 of Cumberland Furnace passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens and Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 5, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Earl entered this life on March 1, 1939, in Slayden, TN to the late Herbert and Lula Potts Trotter. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Edmonds Trotter; siblings, Murrell Trotter, Vernon Trotter, Robert Trotter, and Clorene Robertson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Faye Lewis Trotter; children, Jeff (Donna) Trotter, Gary “Red” Trotter, Bruce “Booty” (Karen) Trotter, Anita (Mike) Greene; step-children, Angie Knox, and Kevin (Amanda) Lyle; brother, Jerry Trotter; thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Trotter, Scott Trotter, Gary Trotter, Ryan Ferrell, Heath Greene, Chad Trotter, Bradley Trotter, Chad Lamothe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
