CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Parks & Recreation has announced Chocolate Affair: A Celebration of Cocoa, originally set for Saturday, Feb. 6, has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 17.
The Wilma Rudolph Event Center will remain the site for the sweet and savory affair with two sessions available, 3-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. At the event, local businesses and caterers serve samples of various foods and desserts, all requiring the use of chocolate in some form.
The 2021 Chocolate Affair is being adapted to adhere to COVID-19 precautions and guidelines. This year’s event will be a Chocolate Affair stroll. Participants will be given a carry-out sample box and will walk from vendor to vendor and receive samples delicious chocolate of all kinds. After someone has visited all vendors, they will exit the building.
CDC guidelines will be followed, and those include mandatory cloth facial coverings, social distancing and no seating at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
Vendors are still being accepted for Chocolate Affair, and they can apply at this site.
Tickets are limited and are $20 for general admission. They available until March 26 or until they are sold out. Tickets can be purchased at ClarksvilleParksRec.com or in person at the Clarksville Parks & Recreation office at 102 Public Square.
