TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 24 clear after 2 morning wrecks in Clarksville

Update, 8:30 a.m.: Interstate 24 is now clear through Clarksville.

Update, 7:45 a.m.: The backup from the mile marker 7 wreck is still about a mile and a half long.

Traffic after Exit 8 is clear.

Update, 7:35 a.m.: Traffic around Exit 8 was beginning to clear, and the backup near mile marker 7 was diminishing.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two wrecks have traffic locked up at two points on Interstate 24 this morning.

The accidents happened at around 6:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes and had traffic stopped at two points.

As of 7:10 a.m., traffic was backed up from about mile marker 9 past Exit 8, and from about mile marker 7 to mile marker 5.
