Update, 2 p.m.: Highway 48/13 is back open.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A section of Highway 48/13 south of Clarksville has been closed because of a structure fire.
As of 10:15 a.m., the 3000 block of the highway is closed. Traffic is being detoured onto Ball Road, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire was at a house on the side of the highway. It was a kitchen fire, and everyone got out of the home safely, according to MCSO spokeswoman Sandra Brandon.
No other structures were at risk, and emergency responders closed the highway to allow crews to get to the house safely, Brandon said.
