OAK GROVE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) investigated a single-vehicle crash with injuries Tuesday, March 4 on I-24 near mile marker 90 around 1:41 p.m.
According to KSP, Christopher Finley, 24, of Fort Campbell was driving a 2012 Ford Edge westbound on I-24 in the left lane when his vehicle traveled over a patch of ice, which caused him to lose control. The vehicle crossed both lanes of travel and exited the right shoulder of the roadway. It struck an embankment and overturned. The vehicle came to rest upright against the embankment.
Finley was not injured. His wife, Sarah Finley, 24, of Fort Campbell was taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for treatment. Both were wearing seatbelts. Their son, Jacob Finley, 3, was secured in a child safety seat and was not injured.
Trooper Michael Dennis investigated the collision. Oak Grove Fire & Rescue and Oak Grove EMS assisted at the scene.
