CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A house in northwest Clarksville was damaged in a fire early Tuesday morning.

At 1:39 a.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to 532 Appleton Drive, according to Clarksville Fire Rescue Capt. Michael Rios.

Crews arrived to see flames coming from the upper windows of the house, Rios said.

There was minor fire damage and also water damage. No one was injured.

One occupant received oxygen at the scene, said Ross A St. Louis with Woodlawn Estates Neighborhood Watch.

Firefighters from Stations 1, 5 and 6 responded, and the fire was out at approximately 3:10 a.m.

American Red Cross is assisting the family of four.

The investigation is ongoing but the fire may have been caused by a fault in their HVAC unit, St. Louis said.
