CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A new radio station is on the air in Clarksville, delivering talk radio favorites and updates on local and national news to listeners throughout the area.
NewZee – WNZE 105.5 FM and 1400 AM – is now a member of the 5 Star Radio Group family.

Earlier this year, Saga Communications, owner of 5 Star, purchased the former WJZM from Consolidated Media LLC.
“When this station became available, we saw it as a golden opportunity to round out our portfolio with radio talk while also expanding what we can do with local news,” said 5 Star General Manager Katie Gambill. “And it gives our business partners new ways to reach more customers.”
In addition to national news talk programming, NewZee 105.5 FM brings listeners local news updates from the Clarksville Now newsroom every hour Monday through Friday, along with national news from CBS radio.
5 Star Operations Manager Ryan Ploeckelman has been working for weeks on the transition, which required show programming for a 24/7 station.
“You know, it’s surprising that Clarksville hasn’t had a station with national talk radio shows for the last several decades. It’s exciting to be able to offer that for listeners, and from right here at home,” Ploeckelman said.
