Franklin Griffin Sr., age 83 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. A viewing will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
He was born June 16, 1937, in Selma, AL to Ned Griffin and Ethel Hunter Griffin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ersae D. Griffin, and his parents, sister, Ethel Sadler, brothers, James, Ned, Willie, Jessie, and Lawrence Griffin.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Sytrina (Larry) Turner, Vine Grove, KY, Sarah (Antonio) Wiltshire, Phenix City, AL, Tammi Griffin (Jeremy) Henley, Severn, MD, and Jarvina Griffin, Clarksville, TN; sons, Franklin (Cynthia) Griffin, Jr, Vallejo, CA and Jarvis Griffin, Clarksville, TN; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
