CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Some roads downtown were blocked Wednesday afternoon by lines of cars for a food distribution on Madison Street.
Madison Street United Methodist Church is holding the event, and drivers should expect long delays on Madison Street between Hiter Street and Greenwood Avenue, Clarksville Police advised.
Drivers were advised by CPD to use alternate routes in this area if you are not participating in the food distribution.
As of 1:40 p.m., traffic was backed up from the church past Cumberland Drive to Seventh Street. University Avenue was backed up to Commerce Street.
