CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Montgomery Central boys basketball took down West Creek 72-64 Tuesday at home.

MCHS’s Asante Wimberly led all scorers with 38 points while adding nine rebounds and four steals. Tyrone Hite followed with 16 points for the Indians.

Jameel Mann had a team-high 20 points for the Coyotes.

Montgomery Central heads to Clarksville up next Tuesday, Dec. 1 with tip off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

West Creek will play host to Rossview Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Indians cruise in win over Lady Coyotes

Montgomery Central girls basketball was in the driver’s seat from start to finish Tuesday, recording a 48-32 win at home over West Creek.

The Lady Indians begin District 10-AAA by picking up a victory and will look to build some momentum when they face off against Clarksville Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. on the road.

West Creek will host Rossview Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.

Lady Eagles outlast Lady Knights in low-scoring affair

Northeast girls basketball held onto a 36-30 victory Tuesday at home over Kenwood in a low-scoring affair.

Krysonie Mitchell finished with 16 points while Cierra Bowser also scored in double figures with 12 points for the Lady Eagles.

Shay Vaughn had a team-high 11 points for the Lady Knights.

Kenwood will take on Clarksville Academy Saturday, Nov. 28 at 1:30 p.m.

Northeast will have a break in action over Thanksgiving weekend before returning to the court Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. for a road contest against Northwest.

Fast start propels Eagles over Knights

Kenwood boys basketball fell Tuesday at home 68-52 to Northeast.

In their District 10-AAA opener, the Knights dug themselves a 24-5 first-quarter hole that they could not get out of.

Jalen Hooks poured in a game-high 23 points while Isaiah Farrior added 16 points for the Eagles.

Jaylen Washington led the Knights with 19 points followed by Amari Kimble with nine points.

Northeast will get Siegel next, Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Kenwood will head to Clarksville Academy Saturday, Nov. 28 for a non-district matchup against the Cougars in their season opener.

Rossview takes down Henry County in nail-biter

Rossview boys basketball held on for a 76-73 win Tuesday over Henry County in their home opener.

The Hawks were led on senior night by Tim Williams Jr. with 17 points, Spencer Mimms with 13 points, Ronald Jessamy with 12 points and Bryant Rippy with 11 points.

Rossview will host Green Hill Monday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Short-handed Lady Hawks fall big to Lady Patriots

Without three of its players Tuesday against Henry County, Rossview girls basketball fell 49-29 at home to open up District 10-AAA play.

The Lady Hawks will look to bounce back Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. on the road against West Creek.
