Update, 11:25 a.m.: The interstate is back open, and traffic is beginning to clear through the area.
Update, 11 a.m.: Westbound traffic remained backed up to about mile marker 26. Backups were also happening on US Highway 41A.
Update, 9:45 a.m.: Westbound traffic is backed up from Exit 19 past Exit 24 to about mile marker 25. The eastbound lanes appear to be clear.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A fatal wreck involving multiple vehicles has traffic snarled on Interstate 24 in Robertson County.
At 8:45 a.m., several vehicles crashed near mile marker 19 in the westbound lanes, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported the crash involved a tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle.
The roadway is closed while crash investigators process the scene.
At 9 a.m., westbound traffic was backed up to about mile marker 21.
TDOT estimated the scene will be clear by 10:45 a.m.
