Traffic mostly clear after multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24

Update, 8:25 p.m.: Traffic is mostly clear through Clarksville, with some slowdowns between Exit 11 and Exit 8.

Update, 8:10 p.m.: Traffic is clear back to Exit 11 but remains backed up from Exit 11 to Exit 8.

Update, 8 p.m.: Traffic near the wreck scene is beginning to clear. The traffic remains backed up to about Exit 8.

Previously: 

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Interstate 24 was tied up Tuesday night by a multi-vehicle crash near mile marker 14.

The wreck happened at about 6:15 p.m. and involved multiple vehicles, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

At 7:50 p.m., eastbound traffic was backed up from the wreck site to Exit 8.
