CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Monday in Montgomery County, there were 107 new positives cases out of the 1,042 tests that were reported, according to Joey Smith, director of Montgomery County’s Department of Health.

The new record for the highest positive case count reported in a single day was broken on Saturday, Nov. 7, when 117 new, positive cases were confirmed. Today’s total is now the second highest, both of which shatter the previous record of only to 102 new cases, which were reported on Oct. 26.

According to information on the TDH’s County Data Snapshot dashboard, the average percent positive in Montgomery County was 11.1% over the last seven days.

There are also currently 755 Clarksville-Montgomery County School System students in quarantine, and 36 active student cases. The former number has almost doubled since our most recent COVID-19 update on Nov. 2, when only 435 students were in quarantine.

Here are the Austin Peay State University numbers, which are continuing to trend down slightly according to their dashboard:

  • 24 students with confirmed cases
  • 119 students in quarantine
  • 4 staff and faculty members with confirmed cases
  • 39 staff and faculty members in quarantine
