The traffic backup eastbound near mile marker 15 has cleared.
Update, 6:30 p.m.: A second, unrelated wreck near mile marker 15 has eastbound traffic backed up to Exit 11.
Update, 6:20 p.m.: Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a wreck involving multiple vehicles at mile marker 3 at 6 p.m.

Secondary roads including Trenton Road and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard are backed up as well.
Previously:
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Interstate 24 westbound traffic was backed up by a wreck near Exit 1 Friday evening.
At about 6 p.m. traffic was backed up from Exit 1 to about Exit 4 to about mile marker 6.
Eastbound traffic was also blocked between Exits 1 and 4 as well.
