CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Beginning on Monday, Sept. 21, the Montgomery County Health Department’s COVID-19 drive-through testing will again adjust their hours.
COVID-19 testing will now be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Civitan Park located in St. Bethlehem at 650 Bellamy Lane, according to a news release from Michelle Newell, Montgomery County spokeswoman. Testing times were originally adjusted back in July to the 7 a.m. to noon timeframe due to the summer heat at the outdoor testing area.
“We’ve rarely seen a line for the last few weeks, so traffic has not been an issue. People have requested later hours to allow for testing during their lunch break. This time frame may help our parents, school system employees, and our citizens,” Montgomery County Director of Health Joey Smith said in the news release.
“Whatever makes it more convenient for people to get tested is a win for those who want to get tested and for our local health department to have the most accurate information,” Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett said in the release.
