Augustia Almedia Haynes, age 73 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020. Viewing Wednesday, September 2, 2020, 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home Celebration of Life 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment Kentucky Veterans Cemetery- West, Hopkinsville, KY. She was born April 18, 1947, in Adams, TN to Jake Griffie, Jr, and Aurdria Carnell Griffie. She is preceded in death by her parents. Almedia was a 1965 graduate of historic Burt High School. She was a life long member of Nevels Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mothers Board, Kitchen Committee, and Youth Sunday School Teacher. She retired from U.S. Bank where she was a teller. Almedia leaves to cherish her precious memories devoted husband, James ” Mickey” Haynes; daughters, Rita ( Richard) Haynes and Nita ( Greg) Haynes Merriwether; granddaughters, Talaya Haynes and Tatyana (James) Faulk; great-granddaughter, Amari Kay Faulk; sister, Margie Onedia McKeage and Dorothey Helena ( Will) Thomas all of Clarksville, TN, a host of family and friends.
