CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Five local girls soccer players have qualified for the 3v3 Live Soccer National Championships which will take place Saturday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 29 in Foley, Alabama.
Ava Lockett, Khloe Lockett, Ellie Balthrop, Alexis Seay and Enslee Harlan helped guide their team to a top-two finish in their respected age group at the regional soccer tournament in Elizabethtown, KY.
The Clarksville Soccer Club representatives posted a 1-2 record in pool play before rain delayed bracket play until the final day of competitions. They defeated the first-place team 4-2 Sunday to qualify for the final before falling in the championship game 4-3.
Ava Lockett, Khloe Lockett, Balthrop and Seay all currently play for The Clarksville Soccer Club 2010 girls’ team. Harlan plays out of Murfreesboro.
Despite finishing as runner-ups, the CSC members were still able to qualify for the national championships in the 2010 girls’ age group. They are currently ranked 12th in the nation out of 51 teams and are the No. 1 ranked team in Tennessee.
