CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A car crashed into the back of a farm tractor pulling a trailer on Dover Road, US Highway 79, Wednesday afternoon.
The wreck happened at about 1:20 p.m. near Lylewood Road, according to witnesses discussing the wreck on the Clarksville-Montgomery County CrimeWatch page.
According to a preliminary Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a 51-year-old Clarksville woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla when she ran into the back of the trailer, pulled by a John Deere tractor and driven by a 24-year-old Clarksville man.
The rear end of the trailer went through the windshield of the car, and the woman driving it was injured.
Emergency responders had to do an extraction to remove the victim, according to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sandra Brandon.
