CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – There will be no football, volleyball or soccer fall sport seasons at Fort Campbell in 2020.
The high school announced Tuesday in a news release that the cancellations are due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
Cross country and golf are two fall sports that will be allowed to continue this year.
Fort Campbell along with Fort Knox have become the first two Kentucky prep programs to make the decision to cancel their football, volleyball and soccer seasons.
The KHSAA Board of Control is set to meet Aug. 20 to review and discuss its current plans to start back with practices on Aug. 24 and begin most fall sport seasons Sept. 7 with football taking place on Sept. 11.
